Biography

Constanza has more than 15 years of experience in the development of scientific-technological based companies, specifically in ​​biomedicine. She has experience with ventures in Chile, USA and Europe, leading operations, regulatory strategy, intellectual property, product development, clinical development strategy and manufacturing, highlighting his participation in the successful presentation of an IND with the FDA. Additionally, he has vast experience in raising non-dilutive capital through public instruments.

She is currently Director of Business at Fundación Ciencia & Vida, where she is in charge of identifying developments with commercial potential among the Foundation’s researchers and projects, supporting them in their evolution, and linking them with the innovation and venture capital ecosystem. This work is also combined by leading one of the first R&D companies created in Chile, Algenis SpA, which has managed to pave the way for ventures of this type in Chile.

In parallel, Constanza has more than ten years of experience advising biotech companies that are beginning their technological development and, for more than two years, she has been a mentor at Hubtec, a Scientific and Technological Transfer Center specialized in linking university or technological centers projects with the industry. Additionally, she is a founding partner of Salvia S.A, a company dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of gourmet frozen foods.

Her professional experience has naturally led her to become an angel investor in scientific-technological based companies, which she supports from very early stages of their development. Constanza is a Biochemist and possess a master’s degree in Bioscience Enterprise from The University of Cambridge, UK.
